An Odd Machine

Click on the "red" button to turn the weird noise off. The "green" button makes even more noise. I don't know what I was thinking. ha! See the notes (sort of) on this little oddity I created years ago, here: http://starcat7.com/page14.html

I made this SWF primarily using DrawPlus (not sure what version). It was a long time ago, and I've only just remembered it!

Musical Door SWF test

This is from ShaunaChan.com
It performs as planned on the site, thought I'm not so sure it will here... And so, it's a test! haha!

It Has Been A While...

...And that is because much of what was contained here was deleted when I changed hosting plans. I still need a place to tinker. And so, here goes one...

movie player

At last, after much relearning of things, I've figured out how to make my movie player work. Later, I'll try different styles then find some video to insert into it.

And of course, set it so the movie doesn't loop. In the meantime, the red stop button has to be clicked on. Also, a volume slider would be nice.

Movie Player Test

I've been fiddling around with Serif DrawPlus X3 again. I keep forgetting how to create a movie player, and so, have to relearn everything. Since I'd also forgotten the embed code for an .swf, that had to be fiddled with as well, until I finally got it working. I still don't know why the parameter name has to be "button" instead of "movie". It's an oddity, because at one time "movie" was a term that worked. Now, only "button" will do. Is this an issue with Blogger? I'm not sure.

The following is a simple example of a movie player I'd made, with an even simpler movie inserted. The "on/off" buttons do seem to work, so I know the action script must be correct.

For whatever reason, some movie players I've attempted to make don't seem to work, though I've followed the same procedures. Eventually, I'll figure it out.

Back to the drawing board! HaHa!

For anyone who is interested, or even for myself the next time I forget, here's the embed code I used for this .swf. Just replace the value YourOwnSWF with your own. And replace the embed src ADDRESSofYOURswfFILE.com/YourOwnSWF with the location of your .swf. The width and height can be changed as well. Be sure to change them in all instances.
